Text Message (SMS) Program
How attorneys opt in to MyTrafficCase case alerts by text, what the messages contain, and how to stop them at any time. This page is the public record of the consent flow, which otherwise lives inside the attorney account.

How consent is collected
Nobody is texted by default. An attorney opts in inside their own signed-in account, in either of two places, by checking a box that is unchecked until they act. The box is labeled “Text me case offers and reminders at this number” and sits next to this disclosure:
Get new case offers and quote requests by text and answer by reply (accept, pass, or send your fee), plus hearing, deadline, and disposition reminders. Automated texts from MyTrafficCase; message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Not a condition of receiving cases by email. Nothing is texted to you until you turn this on, and you can change it anytime in Settings. See the Terms and Privacy Policy.
When the box is checked and the form is saved, MyTrafficCase records the consent (phone number, timestamp, the disclosure wording version, and the IP address). Turning the setting off or replying STOP ends the messages. Consent is never a condition of receiving case offers by email.
1. Settings > Case offers

2. Attorney onboarding, step 1
New attorneys see the same choice under the phone number field at https://www.mytrafficcase.com/attorney/onboarding while setting up their profile.
